Sonorfus Seminar Report of 15th.12.05.
A seminar organised by the Somalisk/Norsk Research and development Center(Sonorfus) has held in Oslo on the 15th .dec.05.
This seminar was aimed at the active Somali organisations working in Norway to learn how to work together on how
to ease their community membersto integrate beter with the Norwegian society and fully participate all community
owned activities.
Eleven Somali oganisations took part on the panels and discussions made in that seminar and
finally agreed to form one co-working ambarrella for them in which they will always meet and share their veiws regarding
positive and negative issues relavant to this society in question and this country at large.
The project was funded by the Enhet for mangfold og
integrering of Oslo commune.
It was decided that the Those organisations meet in the Enhet for mangfold og
integrering Oslo office on the
last wednesday of every month through out the year.
Miss Margerethe Siem representing the Enhet for mangfold og integrering Oslo commune has encouraged the participants to work
together as so closely as they can while having full access of using Enhet for
mangfold og integrering in Oslo
at all times they may need to and also underlined that her office will always be fuly supportive to helping this
initiative with additional capacity building and technical assistances when necessary.
Eng.Morsal Siyad M. the director of Sonorfus has organised and co-ordinated the seminar and has on behalf of others
shown their full commitments towards those groups work together so as to ease the goverment authorities facilitate
the integration process for the Somali community members currently living in Norway.
Similarly, Mohamed Ali Mamow director of Somali inter-riverine association (SICA) had also stressed the need of
collaboration on this part among the Somali organisations here in Norway and further said that this would be a prerequisites for
the Norwegian Goverment to assist us better.
Ayan Yasin Director of PMV Somali women group of Oslo also cited the need and adressed the issue to teh highest hit and
promised to commit her organisation in this team work at all times.
Sahra Abdi Mohamed Director of Association for Somali women and children had fuly seconded the mater While many other oganisations
participating the seminar have positively shared the motion and the conclussion was to continue holding this kind of get
together initiatives so that we can be able to find better selutions for our day today social and political challenges
facing our society.
All the 11 organisations met in this seminar have agreed to find and call upon the other Somali organisations in Norway to
join on board so that to enlarge the awareness of this re-organising philosophy.we are thanking to the Frivilligeenhetssenteralen

Eng.Morsal, The Director of Sonorfus has finaly thanked the participants and concluded the seminar by saying the more
we are together the more we can controbute effectively in Society and we are committed to continue as long as we have
